Located at 6477 Cherry Mdw Dr SE #4, Caledonia, MI 49316, Mitten Kids Dentistry operates as a pediatric dentist serving Caledonia in Michigan. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Dental care in the United States is delivered mostly by private practices: a general or family dentist who handles exams, cleanings, fillings and crowns, and refers out anything that needs a specialist. Group practices and dental clinics put several dentists, hygienists and sometimes specialists under one roof, often with evening and Saturday hours. Most offices ask new patients for a comprehensive exam with X-rays before routine cleanings, which the American Dental Association recommends every six months. Prices are set by each practice, and most accept dental insurance (PPO plans more widely than HMO ones), CareCredit-style financing or an in-house membership plan for people without coverage. Emergency dental services take same-day patients for toothaches, broken teeth and abscesses, usually at a premium.

The business lists hours on 3 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–3:30 pm. It is closed on Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Mitten Kids Dentistry at (616) 942-9840; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, mittenkids.com.

Caledonia is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Caledonia follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Although we have moved 150 miles away, we decided to get back in touch with Mitten Kids, as we had had such a positive experience with them in the past, and our local options- although plentiful- were not succeeding in building rapport with our special needs son. Not only were they glad to welcome us back, they were able to get us in to see our dentist of choice (Dr Brett) much sooner than offices near us. I know raising a child with special needs can be stressful, and make it particularly difficult to build trust with care providers, so here are all the details for those who want/need them: Summary of our experience: Dr Brett and his team are exceptional at what they do, and other dentists and medical offices should be taking cues from them. Pam is the one who greeted us when we arrived, and she is always warm and friendly and put us at ease. Bridgette was exceptional as a hygienist. Never any shame, scolding, or forcing anything. Lots of praise, encouragement, questions to understand my son's preferences/fears/sensory needs/concerns etc. Lots of reassurances ("Oh, that happens to everyone! Here's why, and what you can do about it..."). Lots of opportunity for my son to set his

Doesn’t work well with families, they denied picking my second child up even though she has the same insurance as older sibling. Manager reached out and asked me to edit or remove my original review that mentioned rumored fraud.

I took my 2 year old to this office twice. The admin staff and doctors were very kind and patient. They have an open floor plan which I have never seen before. There were probably 5 station in the room. So it was quite chaotic, especially with a 2 year old who's already uneasy. The first time I asked to only be seen by a female dentist, it didn't happen they scheduled me with a male regardless. The 2nd time, there was only 1 other child in the room, but they put us right next to a tween who was getting a cavity. The other child ended up puking. No fault of the other child, but why couldn't we have out us at a station on the other side of the room? This just wasn't the kind of experience I was looking for.

Highly recommend! We brought our kids here for their first-ever dentist visit, and it couldn’t have gone better. The staff was incredibly friendly, patient, and took the time to explain everything in a way our kids could understandβ€”letting them hold tools and feel involved. The environment was welcoming and thoughtfully designed to create the best possible experience for kids.
